Georgia Waste Management

Georgia's electricity generation and consumption are among the highest in the United States, with coal being the primary electrical generation of fuel, however waste audits taken in Atlanta, Athens, Decatur, Columbus Savannah and Macon have shown that the waste optimization by trash brokers and waste haulers have compensated for the carbon footprint and various waste solutions are balancing much of the recycling efforts. The state also has two nuclear power plants which contribute less than one fourth of Georgia's electricity generation. The statistics are 75% coal, 16% nuclear, 7% oil and natural gas, and 1% hydroelectric/other.

The leading area of energy consumption is the industrial sector because Georgia is a leader in the energy-intensive wood and paper products industry. However, by repurposing cardboard and recycling plastic and PET as well as working closely with the retail waste management sector, Georgia environmental officials have been able to lower my trash bill as well as drop dumpster costs.

There are 15 Fortune 500 companies and 26 Fortune 1000 companies all with sustainability and trash management plans designed to lower their waste spend and optimize their managed haulers, who are headquartered in Georgia. These companies who all recycle and optimize their waste as well as utilize trash brokers and waste brokers and managed haulers include such names as Home Depot, UPS, Coca Cola, Delta Air Lines, AFLAC, Guardian Waste, Lincoln Waste Solutions, Southern Company, and SunTrust Banks. Georgia has over 1,700 internationally headquartered facilities, many in the retail waste management business representing 43 countries all that have a solid waste management plan for optimizing their waste using waste audits. These companies employ more than 112,000 recycling Georgians with an estimated capital investment of $22.7 billion to be used for trash outsourcing and waste outsourcing.

One of the most obvious benefits of recycling and solid waste management is that as managed haulers become more efficient, particularly in working with waste brokers and trash brokers, less waste ends up in landfills and on the ground. Another large benefit is that new products are being created from recovered recyclables mostly from the retail waste management sector.

This waste focus and other environmental waste solutions are part of a universal environmental program designed to help everyone with their waste spend, drop dumpster costs and perform a waste optimization that will lower my trash bill, lower your trash bill and make waste outsourcing a profitable business for the state. This allied waste focus can help all of us find the perfect solution to reduce, reuse and recycle our waste. It's the perfect way to help both the environment and your bottom line.

There is almost nothing that cannot be recycled, reduced or reused.
