Florida Waste Management

Florida is one of the most competitive states for waste optimization and solid waste management. Residents pay less for your trash than what most waste brokers charge to competitive trash haulers. In Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville, Orlando, Hialeah, Ft. Lauderdale, Cape Coral and Hollywood dumpster costs are low due to comprehensive waste audits that have worked to save consumers on their waste spend.

Although Florida is home to many energy-intensive industries, its energy consumption is particularly low due to comprehensive waste audits and ecological studies aimed at optimizing waste output. Its comparatively low greenhouse gas emissions can be attributed to aggressive recycling and sustainability efforts as well as effective waste outsourcing. In 2010, House Bill 7243 was passed by the Florida Legislature, setting a recycling goal of 75% by 2020 for Alachua, Baker, Bay, Bradford, Brevard, Broward, Calhoun, Charlotte, Citrus, Clay, Collier, Columbia, Dade, De Soto, Dixie, Duval, Escambia, Flagler, Franklin, Gadsden, Gilchrist, Glades, Gulf, Hamilton, Hardee, Hendry, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Holmes, Indian River, Jackson, Jefferson, Lafayette, Lake, Lee Leon, Levy, Liberty, Madison, Manatee, Marion, Martin, Monroe, Nassau, Okaloosa, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Putnam, St. Johns, St. Lucie, Santa Rosa, Sarasota, Seminole, Sumter, Suwannee, Taylor, Union, Volusia, Wakulla, Walton, and Washington counties of Florida.

The Florida DEP is developing a web based system for reporting data from counties, and various public and private entities to ensure that waste hauler, waste brokers and trash haulers will be able to complete a fair waste optimization in order to lower dumpster costs and reduce the corporate waste spend for trash and recycling products in the waste management sector.

One of the most obvious benefits of recycling and solid waste management is that as managed haulers become more efficient, particularly in working with waste brokers and trash brokers, less waste ends up in landfills and on the ground. Another large benefit is that new products are being created from recovered recyclables mostly from the retail waste management sector. This waste focus and other environmental waste solutions are part of a universal environmental program designed to help everyone with their waste spend, drop dumpster costs and perform a waste optimization that will lower my trash bill, lower your trash bill and make waste outsourcing a profitable business for the state.

This allied waste focus can help all of us find the perfect solution to reduce, reuse and recycle our waste. It's the perfect way to help both the environment and your bottom line.
