Waste Management Arizona

Arizona may be small in terms of manufacturing but it ranks in the top five states for compliance with waste audits, managed hauler recycling, compliance with retail waste brokers and trash outsourcing. Arizona is a green state that recycles. The state ranks first in recycling scientists and waste engineers as a percentage of the workforce and as well as the number of waste optimization patents issued to companies or individuals per 1,000 workers. Manufacturing is the largest sector of Arizona's economy, with $20.8 billion (21%) of Arizona's 2011 gross state product. Major manufacturing sectors include food processing, heavy machinery, and agricultural chemicals. Sixteen percent of Arizona's workforce is dedicated to manufacturing. Food processing is the largest component of manufacturing and composting has become a major industry. The industrial outputs include food processing, machinery, electric equipment, chemical products, dumpsters, roll-offs, publishing, and primary metals.

Companies with direct or indirect processing facilities in Arizona include ConAgra Foods, Barilla, Heinz, Wonder Bread/Hostess Snack Cakes, Tone's Spices, General Mills, and Quaker Oats. Major non-food advanced manufacturing firms with production facilities in Arizona include 3M, ALCOA, Amana Corporation, Dexter Apache Holdings, Inc., Electrolux/Frigidaire, Emerson Process, Fisher Controls International, HON Industries, The HON Company, IPSCO Steel, John Deere, Lennox Manufacturing, Maytag Corporation, Pella Corporation, Rockwell Collins, Vermeer Company, and Winnebago Industries. The common thread among these recyclers is an effort to maximize their waste optimization particularly when it comes to comes to managing trash and recycling. Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tucson, Prescott, Yuma and Flagstaff all have managed hauler services and they fulfill all the green requirements for retail waste management.

The "pay less for your trash" campaign added thousands of households to the waste audit and allowed Arizona's waste spend and garbage costs to drop precipitously. The use of trash brokers and waste brokers has allowed Arizona to become a leader in waste outsourcing. One of the most obvious benefits of recycling and solid waste management is that as managed haulers become more efficient, particularly in working with waste brokers and trash brokers, less waste ends up in landfills and on the ground.

Another large benefit is that new products are being created from recovered recyclables mostly from the retail waste management sector. This waste focus and other environmental waste solutions are part of a universal environmental program designed to help everyone with their waste spend, drop dumpster costs and perform a waste optimization that will lower my trash bill, lower your trash bill and make waste outsourcing a profitable business for the state. This allied waste focus can help all of us find the perfect solution to reduce, reuse and recycle our waste. It's the perfect way to help both the environment and your bottom line.
