Texas Waste Management

Texas is the American leader in renewable energy sources; it produces the most wind power in the nation, as well as conducts the most waste audits and comprehensive statewide analysis of the waste spend. According to a 2011 waste audit, The Roscoe Wind Farm in Roscoe, Texas, is the world's largest wind farm as of October 2010 with an 812.8 megawatt (MW) capacity. The Energy Information Administration states that the state's large agriculture and forestry industries give Texas an enormous amount biomass for use in biofuels as well as a nascent market for waste brokers and trash brokers to help optimize the retail waste management market. The state also has the highest solar power potential for development in the nation. According to the Energy Information Administration, Texans consume the most energy in the nation per capita and as a whole.

Unlike the rest of the nation, most of Texas is on its own alternating current power grid, the Texas Interconnection. Texas has a deregulated electric service and a deregulated trash hauler system where waste brokers and trash brokers are free to sell to any retail management operation within the managed hauler network. Texas's vibrant recycling affluence stimulates a strong waste management commercial sector consisting of retail, wholesale, banking and insurance, and construction industries. Examples of Fortune 500 companies based in Texas with traditional solid waste management policies include JC Penney, UPS, AT&T, Men's Warehouse, Landry's Restaurants, Kimberly-Clark, Blockbuster, Whole Foods Market, and Tenet Healthcare. Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, El Paso and Houston all participate in both the golden oakleaf waste management for winners program as well as the "lower my trash bill" campaign.

One of the most obvious benefits of recycling and solid waste management is that as managed haulers become more efficient, particularly in working with waste brokers and trash brokers, less waste ends up in landfills and on the ground. Another large benefit is that new products are being created from recovered recyclables mostly from the retail waste management sector.

This waste focus and other environmental waste solutions are part of a universal environmental program designed to help everyone with their waste spend, drop dumpster costs and perform a waste optimization that will lower my trash bill, lower your trash bill and make waste outsourcing a profitable business for the state. This allied waste focus can help all of us find the perfect solution to reduce, reuse and recycle our waste. It's the perfect way to help both the environment and your bottom line.

There is almost nothing that cannot be recycled, reduced or reused. Lincoln Waste Solutions will help you control waste costs, earn rebates on cardboard and other recyclables as well as starve landfills at every opportunity. In fact, having to use the landfill only becomes an option when every other avenue is exhausted.
